Banana Cake Mix Bread baked in Cans

I had two large sized bananas sitting on my counter slowly getting more and more black spots and slowly attracting more and more fruit flies. I started on my hunt for a simple easy banana bread recipe, after looking at a few I decided to try it my own way.
Enter - one box of white cake mix, 2 mashed bananas, and 1 egg. Mixed all together and poured into baking sprayed cans - filling half way full. Baked for 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 400.
Well even with the cans only filled half way the batter spilled over the sides of the cans. It honestly looked like a volcano experiment gone wrong.
Spillage was easy enough to deal with, what I didn't think about was the glue that holds the paper onto the outside of the cans. Being heated up that much it makes it all gooey and sticky melting down the cans, I now have 3 perfect rings on my counter were the glue has dried. I will have to get a straight razor to get it off there now.
Anyway! I prefer homemade banana bread to this shortcut version. Maybe it would have been better with a different cake flavor like spice cake, or even better butter pecan - that one would probably be really good, but no nuts allowed here. You can taste the banana, but its just missing something.
Either way I used up 2 bananas that no one was going to eat, and a box of cake mix that would have expired in the back of a cupboard somewhere. Someone in the house is eating it because there's only one "can" left.
