This recipe came from The Cookie Bible in the Drop Cookie section. There is the picture in the book and then a picture of what they actually look like when a real regular person makes them.
I didn't add in the cranberries - just added more chocolate chips. And had to adjust the time and temperature because the first batch ended up as pucks. Recipe calls for an oven at 350 for 11 to 12 minutes- I had to change that to an oven at 300 for 10 minutes.
Out of the 3 people that tried them, 2 people liked them and 1 person didn't. They were easy enough to make but not the best double chocolate cookie I've tried. But, if the family asked for then again I would make them.

I originally bought The Cookie Bible because I wanted to bake my way from the start to the end. I do have many more reviews of cookies from this book to share. But I will no longer be baking every cookie in the book anymore, since the youngest has nut allergies and there are a lot of cookies that involve nuts of some kind in them - so for now I just get to drool over the pictures of them. I think the book is a good collection of all kinds of cookie and bar recipes. Some people in reviews are mad because some of the recipes come from company's whose brand of ingredient is in the recipe. I don't care about that kind of thing, as most of the brands are from the states and we don't have those brands available to buy up here anyway. If the recipe calls for blahblah baking powder - I'm just going to use the brand I already have in my cupboard. Just because a brand is named doesn't mean you can only use that brand. I might go through it sometime and count how many recipes there are that I can make, and how many include nuts. I own a few solely cookie cook books and I use this one and one other one the most. And it's one of the ones that people that come over to visit usually grab and have a glace through, cause who doesn't love homemade cookies?!
